UK General appoints RSA's Barker to commercial team
UK General has appointed Ian Barker as commercial technical director.
Mr Barker joins from RSA, where he was motor underwriting director in the provider’s risk solutions business.
In his new role, Mr Barker will be responsible for the technical underwriting and portfolio management function, overseeing product managers in both motor and non-motor commercial business.
He will report to Mike Keating, MD of commercial at UK General.
Mr Keating said that in setting the company’s risk appetite and pricing strategy Mr Barker would interact with intermediaries to "ensure
