The roundtable, conducted under Chatham House rules in Manchester, looked at the implications for brokers of the Energy Act 2011 and the government's Green Deal in terms of advising clients about their commercial property.
It came as the Act threatens to impact on 20% of commercial property in the UK, potentially rendering them unsuitable to be rented out while, at the same time, negatively impacting value.
