Autonet posts 14% increase in pre-tax profit to £8.8m

Autonet Insurance Services has revealed increases in profit, turnover and staff numbers for the year ended 31 December 2012.

In a filing at Companies House, the broker stated that gross written premiums rose 8% in the year to £96m.

Profits before tax came in at £8.8m, up 14% on the previous 12 months and after tax results were also up at £6.5m (2011: £5.3m).

Turnover at the business similarly increased, rising from £25.4m in 2011 to £29m in 2012.

The broker's average monthly headcount likewise went up from 467 to 564.

The company detailed the roles as being 360 insurance advisors, 89 non-insurance advisors and 115
