No payout to Ireland chief Smith, confirms RSA
Provider stresses business as normal after Smith’s resignation statement.
RSA has confirmed that it has made no severance payment to Philip Smith, CEO of RSA Ireland, who resigned dramatically today.
In his resignation statement Smith said he was the "fall guy" for issues at the provider, claimed that RSA's investigation had a "predetermined outcome" and said that he and his family had been traumatised by events.
RSA announced on 11 November that it would be conducting an independent investigation into claims and finance issues at its Irish operation and suspended
