Ex-Towergate Lifestyle team to launch new PI business

New venture to distribute both direct and via brokers.

An ex-Towergate Lifestyle professional indemnity (PI) team has created a new underwriting operation called the PI Desk Limited.

Managing director Roger Crowther left Towergate in July 2012, and his new venture will launch in mid-December 2013.

The PI Desk will focus primarily on PI-led business, distributing its products directly to clients as well as via commercial insurance intermediaries.

Capacity for its initial product suite is provided by Arch and Argo.
