Unrated carrier Eric stops accepting new business

Decision revealed in a letter penned by company chief executive.

European Risk Insurance Company has informed UK firms that with immediate effect it will no longer accept new business, renewals or requests for coverage increases.

Sister title Post has reported that the unrated carrier's general manager Hilmar Thors confirmed the decision in a letter to clients.

However, he insisted that all other daily operations, including claims handling, will continue as normal.
