Thomas Carroll declares former cricketer hire
Mike Powell to join broker's new sales development team.
Thomas Carroll Group has snapped up former Glamorgan and Kent cricketer Mike Powell for its new sales development team.
Powell - who spent 18 years playing the sport professionally - will work in commercial insurance alongside directors Brynmor Williams and Gareth Cotty.
Speaking about his switch to broking, Powell said: "I began preparing to move into business life during my testimonial year of 2011 and became closer to Thomas Carroll who are big supporters of Welsh cricket.
