L&G GI broker boss hails 'success story' of improved profit
Three main drivers led to positive results, says GI director.
Mark Holweger, MD of retail protection and general insurance (GI) intermediated business at Legal & General (L&G), has stated that he is happy with “yet another strong performance of profitable growth, now three years on the run” following publication of its 2013 results.
“We have been achieving that growth by working closely with our intermediary partners,” he continued. “It’s a great success story.”
L&G saw its GI combined operating ratio (COR) improve by 11% last year, to 84%.
