PPI complaints fall by 11%

Despite fall in number of complaints PPI still remains most problematic product with general insurance not far behind.

Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) complaints have reduced by 11% in January to June compared to the previous six months.

But it remains the most complained about product according to the latest complaints data published by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

PPI saw 1,236,899 complaints for the first half of 2014 accounting for 52% of the overall grievances. General Insurance is the third most criticised product with 318,502, falling by just 1%.

Overall complaints made to companies decreased
