Mercier to lead on personal lines motor at Axa
New recruit was head of personal lines underwriting at Direct Line.
Axa commercial lines and personal intermediary has appointed Neil Mercier as head of motor for its personal lines broker business.
Mercier, who has 30 years' experience in the market, has previously worked at Axa leaving in March 2011 to join Direct Line where he was most recently head of underwriting for personal lines.
Upon his return to the insurer he will be responsible for business development and the overall strategy of its personal lines broker motor book.
