Howden buys Liverpool-based Powell Bateson

Howden Broking Group, part of Hyperion Insurance Group, has bought Powell Bateson which is a commercial insurance broker and risk management consultancy.
Powell Bateson is based in Liverpool and described as having specific expertise in construction and property.
Howden's CEO, Adrian Colosso, said: "Throughout our recent international growth, we have always kept a watchful eye on the UK market, waiting for the right partners that can complement and enhance our offering."

FSCS gives first insight on increasing levy to £394m
