Leslie Hughes awarded OBE
The founder of Hughes Insurance was joined on the Queen's New Year's Honours List by Nicholas Cooper and Ashton West.
Leslie Hughes, chairman and founder of Hughes Insurance, has been made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen's New Year's Honours List.
Hughes received his OBE for services to the insurance industry and community in Northern Ireland.
Last year, Hughes won the achievement award at the UK Broker Awards after nearly 50 years in the industry.
In June 2014 he sold his business to Liberty Mutual Insurance and will retire from the company this summer.
