Firm enters 90 day consultation period with staff over office closure.

Ageas Retail has entered a 90 day consultation period with employees over the potential closure of its Belfast operation located in Springvale Business Park.

The company employs 200 people in Belfast who make outbound calling sales to potential customers for its Rias and Castle Cover brands.

The firm stated that over the last two years there had been a significant drop in sales from this activity and that the Belfast site has become "increasingly uneconomical".

The call-centre was targeting
