Sandy Scott to step down from leading the CII

Chief executive officer to remain in post until March 2016 following 15 years in the role.

Sandy Scott has announced his intention to relinquish his role as chief executive officer at the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

He advised the CII board of his intention yesterday but will remain in post until March 2016.

Scott said: "In a constantly changing environment the greatest challenge has been to ensure the CII always remains relevant. The CII today is unrecognisable to the organisation I joined in September 2000.
