Das confirms that its head of legal services has left the firm following an internal investigation.

Legal expenses insurer Das has confirmed that Kathryn Mortimer has left the company following an internal probe.

A spokesman said that Mortimer had previously been suspended and under internal investigation but insisted that, following the completion of the review, that "no disciplinary action had been taken".

He commented: "Kathryn Mortimer has decided to leave the company after eight and a half years' service. We wish her well in her future career and thank her for the contribution
