Brokers unsurprised by Reid's Gallagher appointment
Market praises Reid's Bluefin performance and say Gallagher needs "committed" people and "top players".
Stuart Reid's departure from Bluefin Group, where he was executive chairman, and subsequent unveiling as chief executive of Arthur J Gallagher's UK Retail division hasn't surprised many brokers.
Brokers also believe Reid has the knowledge and experience required for what will be a challenging job in his new role.
Mark Bower-Dyke, chairman and CEO of Bewiser, said, while he wasn't surprised, Reid has got the competence and the credentials to take on his new role at Gallagher.
