RSA appeals Smith judgement
Insurer to appeal tribunal decision and will seek redress through courts.
RSA announced today that it is appealing the decision of the Employment Appeals Tribunal which found in former Irish CEO Philip Smith's favour last month.
Smith was awarded $1.25m for unfair dismissal by the tribunal last month.
Disagrees
RSA said it fundamentally disagrees with the judgement and is seeking redress through the Courts.
Smith took action against the insurer in January this year, following his resignation from the firm on 28 November 2013 when he left the company without a severance
