Zurich would pay cash for RSA

Insurer says if an offer is made it will likely be “solely in cash”.

Zurich has confirmed it is likely to pay in cash if it does make an offer for RSA.

The insurer announced: "Further to the announcement issued on 28 July 2015 in relation to RSA Insurance Group plc, Zurich Insurance Group Ltd. ("Zurich") confirms that it is likely that any offer, if made, will be solely in cash."

It was revealed yesterday that Zurich was considering making an offer for RSA which has been the subject of takeover rumours.
