Industry dubious on the possibility of other Jelf bids
Some experts name Gallagher and Aon as possible contenders, while others say no one else will step up.
Experts in the market were mainly unsurprised by the news that Marsh was in talks with Jelf over a possible deal.
Charles Manchester, chief executive officer of Manchester Underwriting Management told Insurance Age that Jelf had been on the market for quite some time and added that "if Marsh makes an offer that Jelf accepts" then this deal would go through.
