A-Plan hires Hartley from Swinton as acquisitions chief

Broker says move is part of expansion plans.

A-Plan Insurance has appointed Jonathan Hartley to the newly created role of acquisitions manager.

Hartley previously worked as acquisitions manager at Swinton.

In his new role he will lead A-Plan's acquisition strategy, identifying opportunities to acquire well run local brokers and specialist insurance businesses.

The broker said his appointment signalled an acceleration of the business' growth strategy following the completion of Hg Capital's acquisition earlier this year.
