Axa to bring all UK and Ireland insurance business together

Amanda Blanc will lead general insurance business controlling £2.8bn in GWP.

Axa UK is set to bring all of its insurance business under one leader by adding Axa Ireland to the remit of Amanda Blanc, CEO of Axa Insurance, UK and Ireland as of 1 January 2016.

The insurer said this would bring Axa UK's operations in line with Axa Group, which is organised into three global business lines, general insurance, healthcare and life and savings.

Axa further said the move would create a general insurance business controlling £2.8bn in GWP with 4.7m customers and over 5,300
