FCA investigates how GI firms use big data
Regulator issues call for information about how retail general insurance firms use big data with a focus on how it affects customer outcomes.
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has today launched a call for inputs on the use of big data in the retail general insurance sector.
The regulator said that although the use of big data is developing across financial services, the FCA will focus on retail general insurance to reflect how extensively data is already used in the sector and the significance of the sector for consumers.
The call for inputs will focus on three key topics:
• does big data affect consumer outcomes?
• does big data
