Zurich global boss Martin Senn departs

Tom de Swann appointed interim CEO.

Zurich Insurance Group has confirmed that chief executive officer Martin Senn is to leave the business at the end of the year.

Tom de Swann has stepped in as interim CEO with immediate effect.

Senn has been with the insurer for ten years, six of which as CEO, and the provider said he was leaving by "mutual agreement".

Tom de Swaan has been a member of the board of directors since 2006 and was named chairman in 2013.
