FOS: Most insurance complaints about claims

Financial Ombudsman Service says number of complaints about premiums is increasing.

The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) has reported that it is receiving a growing number of complaints about the price of insurance premiums.

According to the FOS, it had been suggested that some insurers' pricing strategies focus on offering cheap premiums to new customers, while longer-standing customers see year-on-year increases in price.

The Ombudsman further said it expected to receive 30,300 new complaints about insurance in the year to March 2016.

This number is within its budget, but
