Biba calls on FSCS to change its model
CEO Steve White disappointed in possible £19m levy rise.
Steve White, chief executive officer of the British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba), told Insurance Age that he was disappointed following the news that brokers could be facing a £19m FSCS levy hit for 2016/17.
However, he pointed out that the levy was zero for last year that the proposed new figure was still down from £38m in 2014/15.
"We're disappointed it's gone up, but it is still at the second lowest level in six or seven years," White said.
