Zurich predicts £194m storm losses

Insurer predicts losses in general insurance following UK storms and estimates $100m GI operating loss.

Zurich has predicted UK storm-related losses of $275m (£194m) for its general insurance business for the fourth quarter of 2015.

In addition the provider said it would likely see an operating loss of $100m across its general insurance operations for the quarter.

However, the insurer insisted that the "Group's capital position remains very strong across all key metrics".
