Broker optimism rising

Profitability expected to increase in the next three months and investment in IT scheduled to grow.

Insurance brokers were more optimistic about the overall business situation in the past three months, compared to the previous quarter, according to a poll.

The latest CBI/PwC Financial services survey revealed that 12 percent more brokers were optimistic about the sector than were pessimistic.

This marks a reversal from the previous quarter when the overall sentiment was negative.

However, compared to a year ago the optimism has still softened.

The survey noted that profits increased in line
