AIG and Ascot Underwriting to launch MGA
Insurer AIG Europe sets up Azur Underwriting with Ascot Underwriting and other partners.
AIG and Ascot Underwriting have joined forces to set up a managing general agent (MGA).
The agreement, which was unveiled today, will be known as Azur Underwriting and will operate as an MGA on behalf of the insurer.
Anthony Baldwin, chief executive officer at AIG Europe said: "The [UK's] high net worth [insurance market] served by the Private Client Group is a high priority growth area for AIG.
