Deal adds 14 million policies to USA-led firm.

Arc Legal Assistance has been bought by AmTrust International for an undisclosed amount.

AmTrust International is a wholly owned subsidiary of New-York based AmTrust Financial Services - a multinational property and casualty insurer specialising in the SME market.

The deal adds 14 million policies to the firm across a range of legal expenses insurance (LEI) and assistance products in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Managing general agent Arc Legal covers personal, motor, commercial, affinity
