Brokers must increase due diligence following SSP saga, says expert

Brokers have been cautioned that moving to another technology provider would provide no "instant solution".

Brokers have been urged by a software house in the industry to carry out due diligence disaster recovery following the SSP saga.

Speaking to Insurance Age a senior person at a software competitor pointed out that brokers used to host their own software "in the old days".

He said that model had been replaced by hosted solutions which changed the operating model.

"Now brokers need to do significant due diligence on operations both on disaster recovery and ongoing operations and check performance
