Sure Thing! confirms plans to launch underwriting arm

Broker appoints Kevin Kiernan from Ageas to work on underwriting project.

Sure Thing! has revealed plans to launch its own underwriting arm within the next 12 months.

The broker said it would be making the move to enhance its market coverage and complement its existing panel of insurers.

The firm clarified that the project was still only in its initial stages as it engaged with potential capacity providers, and other suppliers to support the launch.

As part of the process it has appointed Kevin Kiernan from Ageas who will "take a lead role" in developing the strategy
