Turnover was also down but profit after tax increased.

Documents filed at Companies House show that across Broker Network and Countrywide total membership dropped by 6.1% to 557 in 2015, down from 593 in 2014 and again from 610 in 2013.

The filings also showed that, combining the two entities, turnover reduced by 4.9% to £11.53m.

Meanwhile profit after tax soared from £797,000 in 2014 to £2.7m.

However, the two parties benefited from not having to pay a management fee to the parent company which in 2014 totalled £3.73m.
