Liquidator reveals Enterprise sold unauthorised business

Report shows 54 brokers, including Autonet, had sold policies underwritten by Enterprise and shows Enterprise had 760,000 live policies when it was ordered to stop writing new business.

The liquidator's report into Gibraltar insurer Enterprise has highlighted failings and losses for the insolvent provider.

Liquidator Freddie White of Grant Thornton revealed that Enterprise underwrote around 10,000 roadside assistance policies in the UK which it was "unauthorised" to do.

The report also highlighted insurance debts of £74.9m with a prospective deficiency of £94.4m - figures which do not take into account the cost of liquidation.
