HDI launches cyber breach response policy

Product covers risks up to €50m [£42.4m], says the industrial lines insurer.

HDI Global SE, an industrial lines insurer, launched Cyber+, a cyber breach response policy which uses claims experience to underpin the underwriting approach, it said.

The insurer noted that the product could be used across a broad range of industry sectors.

It also said risks up to a €50m [£42.4m] limit, would cover the costs of defending the insured, carrying out the right forensic examinations to secure the breach and associated business interruption.

In addition, the product will cover
