Hiscox achieves strong growth in SME, says Langan

MD of Hiscox UK says provider sees opportunities to grow its UK broker book.

Steve Langan, managing director at Hiscox UK, has hailed the provider's "strong growth", following the release of its 2016 financial results.

Langan highlighted that the group had seen growth in its retail division across the world and grown by 12.5% in the UK.

Its UK and Ireland combined operating ratio was 83%.

He told Insurance Age: "In the UK we've had a good strategy for the last ten years and we've executed it well based on three areas.
