Invicta buys GI portfolio from Priory

Broker states the deal is first in a series it has planned for 2017.

Invicta Insurance Services has bought the general insurance portfolio from Gilligham-based Priory Insurance Brokers for an undisclosed sum.

Invicta managing director Steve Gamage said the deal is the first of several acquisitions it wants to make this year as it seeks to follow and aggresive growth strategy.

He noted: "This acquisition comprises high quality property and commercial insurance risks with much of the business being local.
