In last month's issue I read with interest Richard Bryant's letter describing an example of unfair competition by Axa Solutions; the insurer's direct arm. It rang the odd bell or two!
Until a few months ago we - via an appointed representative - held a Motor Traders Combined risk with NIG at about £27k last year, which had been with Axa for several years previously, eventually rising to a premium of £33k with good cover. Come the 2007 renewal, Axa offered to renew it at a little more than £33k
