We seem to be seeing a revival of clubs for independent brokers. Aviva has put a great deal of resources behind its 110 club and Axa appears to be reviving its club concepts. If history repeats itself, we are likely to see a range of 'me too' initiatives over the next few months as other insurers seek to emulate the market leaders. This is all good news for the mid-sized brokers, who are emerging, yet again, as the darling of insurers.
The initiatives are also reminiscent of the early 1990s when
