We have been trying to convince the industry for more than three years that 'online assessment' is not sufficient to demonstrate competence under the Financial Services Authority (FSA) regulations (Insurance Age, April).
In fact, online assessment can be considered to be equal to taking the theory part of a driving test. Would you allow someone to drive your car if they only knew the theory? The second part of the driving test requires candidates to prove their handling ability of a vehicle
