Last month's Insurance Age front cover story seems to have struck a chord with a vast number of brokers and we have been inundated with letters and e-mails commenting on the article and its implications.

The fact there is a no accepted industry standard that insurers follow when a broker can take over another broker's clients is a glaring error and one I am surprised the Financial Services Authority did not seek to clarify in its rules.
