Compared to other financial services branches, insurance can sometimes seem a conservative business. Today's underwriters essentially perform the same function as they did 100, if not 300, years ago - however, to survive, they must evolve. So what role will tomorrow's underwriters fulfil?
To answer this question, RSA is introducing a concept that it calls 'trading underwriters'. At first sight, the concept may not seem a dramatic change. The most obvious difference brokers will experience is that
