I was surprised and a little dismayed with your comments about this year's British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) conference at Excel in the June issue of Insurance Age.

As a broker and an exhibitor, I can confidently say that professionalism was very evident both throughout the event and the brokers in attendance.
Our exhibition stand was very successful and we found it extremely worthwhile to be involved in such a huge gathering of brokers who were clearly there to network and do business.
It is true we are in a difficult economic environment but I believe that the brokers who attended Biba's conference used it as a business
