Within the first week of writing about insurance, all those years ago, I heard the phrase "acronym soup". It has stuck with me ever since. From the FCA to the PRA, from Biba to the ABI and the CII, the soup is not short of ingredients.

The recipe got a new twist last month with the launch of the Insurance Brokers' Standards Council, also known as the IBSC. Caitlin Morrison has taken a look at the market reaction to the new addition (see page 4) and the responses are interesting. I'd like to add
