As we approach 2015, it is a good time to consider the big issues that may arise during the year and how it may impact on the insurance industry in the UK.
The major event in the year will be the general election. It may be the result will become more clear as the year progresses but at the moment it is very difficult to call what will happen on 7 May. FSCS gives first insight on increasing levy to £394m
The Financial Services Compensation Scheme has indicated its levy for 2025/26 will rise to £394m from £265m this financial year as it cited having lower surpluses to carry forward and offset bills – a factor that has benefited brokers for two years in a row.
