Lloyd’s chairman savages irresponsible Brexit benefits claims
John Nelson criticises politicians and says there would not be a “regulatory nirvana” for insurance.
The chairman of Lloyd's, John Nelson has waded into the Brexit debate hitting out at claims by the leave campaign.
Nelson told the Lloyd's annual general meeting that it was "irresponsible of politicians to pretend that the benefits of a single market can be replicated outside of the EU".
According to Nelson after a vote to leave there would be no right of access to the EU markets without signing up to EU regulations.
