Zurich to bring general insurance and life businesses in the UK under one leader

Move part of global restructure to be undertaken across the group by 1 July.

Zurich Group has unveiled worldwide plans for a new structure combining life and non-life under one leadership team and a unified market approach.

The insurer confirmed that general insurance (excluding Global Corporate) and life businesses in the UK would be brought under one leader with further details to be confirmed by 1 July.

At present Vibhu Sharma leads the GI division while Jim Sykes has been interim CEO for life business for the past six months.
