Aviva hires Patrick Tiernan as CFO

Tiernan replaces Colm Holmes who took over the CEO role of the UK GI business in June.

Aviva UK GI has appointed Patrick Tiernan as chief financial officer.

Tiernan replaces Colm Holmes, who was promoted to chief executive officer for UK GI in June this year.

According to Aviva, Tiernan joins the provider from Starstone Insurance where he was group chief operating officer.

He has also spent 10 years working at Zurich, where his most recent role was as chief executive officer of the insurer's centrally managed businesses.
