Operating profit down 5.2% down at Gocompare for 2016

The comparision site saw revenue up by 20% to £142.1m (2015: £119m).

Comparison site Gocompare saw a 5.2% reduction in its operating profit for the year ended 31 December 2016 to £21.9m (2015: £23.1m).

However, adjusted operating profit was £30m (£23.1m) up 30%, excluding the costs incurred in relation to its November demerger from insurer Esure, the company said.

Revenue grew by 20% to £142.1m (2015: £119m), GoComapre.com revealed.

Industry reacts to discount rate change
