FCA reveals insurer claims payouts following BI test case verdict
Regulator says providers have paid out £192.1m in interim payments for unsettled claims and £279.8m in final settlements at it reiterates order to pay out quickly.
Insurers have paid a total of £472m in interim and final Covid-19 related business interruption (BI) claims following the test case, according to data published by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
The regulator detailed that this includes £192.1m in interim payments made for unsettled claims as well as £279.8m in payments made for claims where final settlements have been agreed and concluded.
It added that the figures are based on information submitted to the FCA by insurers and reflect
