In an era of corporate governance, why is it necessary to delay the full implementation date? In 1968, when working in a claims department of one of the then smaller general business insurers, I recall a senior colleague ensuring that a widow's solicitor did not overlook the fatal accident benefit under the terms of the late husband's private motor policy.
